A sheriff Ohio is encouraging civilians on his staff with licenses to carry guns to bring their weapons to work after recent attacks against police officers in other parts of the country.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones also urged civilian employees to carry their weapons while operating any department vehicle away from headquarters, the Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reported.

‘We encourage our people to really rethink having any markings on their car that states you’re a police officer. It could be your spouse, it could be your kids driving the car.’ Jones told WXIX.
