Coup In Turkey: Helicopters, Military Jets Flying Over Capital; Army, Tanks Deployed

Shooting and explosion are being reported in the Turkish capital, Ankara, with military jets and helicopters seen in the sky above the city. According to Reuters, gunfire and explosions could be heard in the capital, where jets have been heard flying overhead, while all the road and bridges into Ankara have been currently shut down. It is not clear what is the reason behind this dramatic escalation, with some media reports suggesting a military coup is taking place, or alternatively preparations for a major terrorist event.
