As the city continues to reel from the cold-blooded murders of five officers during a protest on Thursday night, residents have bathed the the Dallas Police Department headquarters in flags, flowers, balloons and messages of love to show their support for the men and women in blue.

Two patrol cars were set up outside the headquarters as a memorial for the five slain officers. By Saturday morning they were barely visible underneath bouquets of roses and countless letters, many reading ‘We will forever back the blue’.
