With the US still shocked by the bloody shooting that took place on June 12 in Orlando that left 49 dead and another 53 injured, Democrats responded with a sit in the House of Representatives demanding votes on a number of gun-related bills which, as they claim, have received widespread support among US residents.
Literally sitting on the House floor, Democrats are demanding gun control legislation and chanting the words “no bill, no break”, demanding that the July recess be cancelled until progress on gun control measures is made.
Tweets from the secession under the hashtag #NoBillNoBreak are flooding social media, with millions of social network users anxiously following the developing story.
