A controversial Islamic preacher who has called for homosexual people to be put to death reportedly gave sermons in Orlando just weeks before the Pulse nightclub massacre.
Farrokh Sekaleshfar – a British-born doctor and Muslim scholar – was in the Florida city where Sunday night’s attack by a lone gunman in the gay nightclub left 50 victims dead, Fusion News reported.
In videos posted online, Sekaleshfar has been seen saying that the way to ‘deal with the phenomenon of homosexuality’ was to ‘get rid of them’.
