The California Democratic primary is up for grabs, according to a poll released Tuesday that shows Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in a statistical dead heat.

The survey of likely voters, from the Public Policy Institute of California, shows the former secretary of state ahead of the Vermont senator by just two percentage points – 46 to 44 – a gap that’s smaller than the poll’s 5.7 percentage-point margin of error.

Clinton will likely clinch her party’s presidential nomination before the Golden State’s polling places close on June 7, with a combination of earned delegates and the so-called ‘superdelegates,’ party bosses and elected officials who are lined up behind her.
