US Conducts Weapons of Mass Destruction Drills Near Korea DMZ

Soldiers with the US Pacific Command (PACOM) conducted weapons of mass destruction training near the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea, PACOM spokesperson said in a media release on Friday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The purpose of the training was to detect and destroy weapons of mass destruction in an urban environment, the release noted.
“Two Soldiers with the 501st Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Company, 23rd Chemical Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, conducted a CBRNE exploitation evaluation during quarterly training at Black Hawk Village,” Sergeant Quanesha Deloach stated.
