UK Refuses to Say if SAS Prepared for Multiple Terror Attacks on London

Representative of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) refused to comment Special Air Service (SAS) operations.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) refused to comment to Sputnik Monday on reports that Special Air Service (SAS) units have been put on standby amid the threat of simultaneous terrorist attacks on London.

Earlier in the day, British media outlets reported that officers from the Metropolitan Police Service and SAS units were preparing for as many as ten simultaneous attacks across the UK capital. The London Metropolitan Police Service confirmed its participation in the preparations to Sputnik.

“We won’t comment on Special Forces [SAS] operations… if it’s a thing that [has to do with] Special Forces, we cannot comment on it,” an MoD press officer said, commenting on the reports.
