A new FBI website meant to deter American youth from joining extremist groups makes no mention of the threat from fundamentalist Islam, despite the fact that in just the last 30 days, more than 123 Islamic jihadist attacks have been carried out worldwide, killing more than 1,400 people.

The website, “Don’t Be a Puppet,” warns of “extremism such as white-supremacy extremists, environmental extremists, militia extremists, religious extremists and anarchist extremists” but “omits any reference to Islamist extremism or Islam,” noted the Washington watchdog Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch said the “government anti-radicalization Internet program” was to be launched months ago but had to undergo changes demanded by Islamic activists who claimed the original version was biased against Muslims.

“Like a good lapdog, the FBI nixed it after Muslim rights groups whipped out the discrimination card,” Judicial Watch said. “One of them, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, issued a victory statement saying the website improperly characterized Muslims as a suspect community with targeted focus and stereotypical depictions that could [exacerbate] the problem by leading to bullying, bias and religious profiling.”
