The suspect also allegedly killed a woman presumed to be his wife
Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert says he has authorized a capital murder charge against the suspect who is in custody
Two other officers were injured in the shooting – their condition is unknown

One officer is dead and two more are injured after a shooting near Woodbridge, Virginia, on Saturday night.
Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon, 29, who was sworn in on Friday and started her first shift on Saturday, died from her injuries.
Allegedly the suspect, a military serviceman, ‘murdered his wife and then ambushed the officers with a rifle as they approached the scene’, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, also confirmed the other woman was killed by the suspect.
Stewart also said there was a child in the house during the incident who was not harmed.
