4 dead after suicide car bomb explodes near Russian embassy in Kabul (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

A suicide car bomb explosion struck near the Russian embassy in Kabul, the embassy confirmed to RT. Four people have died in the attack, according to Afghan officials.

Four people have been killed and 24 injured, Afghan Deputy Minister of Interior Muhammad Ayoub Salangi tweeted.

The suicide car bomb attack took place on Darul Aman road, according to embassy spokesman Aleksey Kosarev. He said there were no casualties among the embassy staff.

The target of the attack is unclear, according to Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid, who spoke to Reuters.

“Police are working to identify the victims of today’s attack, but there was no military convoy (in the area), they were all civilians,” Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said on his Twitter page.
