It is not clear what the alleged terror plot involved but previously the jihadis, also known as Daesh, have threatened attacks on Pope Francis in the Vatican.
Members of Anonymous used a Twitter account named Operation Paris Twitter to announce: “In this month we are working in silence. We have already foiled 1 attack #ISIS against #Italy, we hope to block others.”
In the wake of the November 13 terror attacks in Paris which killed 130 people, the internet activists vowed to destroy ISIS and hunt down the perpetrators of the massacre online.
In spite of Anonymous’ claim, the Italian government has not yet commented on the alleged ISIS terror plot.
