With the release of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, many are analyzing the plight of the rebel cause and the Evil Empire portrayed in the film – the latter of which closely resembles the kind of world President Obama and his Marxist allies would like to see.
With that in mind, then, here are the 10 ways in which the Obama administration resembles the “fictional” Star Wars Empire:
1. Obama as Lord of the universe. Mr. “I’ve Got A Pen And A Phone” has often made it clear quite that if he had his way, he would rule completely – without Congress or the federal courts stopping him. After Republicans won the largest legislative majority since the Civil War, Obama, on a tantrum, dismissed them as a petulant tyrant would, and vowed defiance, saying, “We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone. And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward …”
2. Imperial president. Obama’s executive actions on immigration and “climate change,” – in violation of federal law – as well as the manner in which the then-Democratic majority in the Senate helped him ram through sycophantic judges on the DC Circuit – the federal courts that decide the constitutionality of his regulations – are exactly the actions an Imperial Emperor would take.
3. Yes, the regulations. Obama, as emperor-wannabe, ignores the Legislative Branch, and uses his pen and phone to pass executive orders, which have the full weight of law.
