Donald Trump said this morning that his plan to indefinitely ban Muslims from entering the country is necessary to prevent another 9/11 style attack on the United States

‘We are now at war,’ he said on Good Morning America. ‘We have a president that doesn’t want to say that, but we are now at war.’

Trump rejected comparisons of himself to Hitler, as depicted on the cover of the Philadelphia Daily News today.

And he said his proposal wasn’t much different than Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s executive orders after the bombing of Pearl Harbor that put restrictions on migrants from enemy countries, mainly Germany and Japan.
