The San Bernadino attackers had a “IED factory” in their home, according to sources.

Fox News is reporting that Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, were dressed in body armor and wearing GoPro cameras when they carried out their Wednesday attack on the Inland Regional Center.

A law enforcement source told Fox that the couple each carried AR-15 automatic rifles and pistols. The SUV that they used during the attack had “rollout bags” with multiple pipe bombs and additional ammunition. They both also wore tactical clothing, including vests stuffed with ammunition magazines. The use of “rollout bags” is “a military tactic for a sustained fight,” the source told Fox News.

“They came prepared to do what they did, as if they were on a mission,” San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said.

Authorities discovered three pipe bombs at the Inland Regional Center after the attacks. They also found an RC car controller, which was believed to be intended for use as a remote bomb ignition switch. The bombs did not go off at the center, indicating perhaps a design problem, or that the shooters were too far out of range to ignite them.
