It’s already being called one of the biggest cover-ups in the history of British officialdom.

As reported by the UK’s Telegraph, a database containing the accounts of victims of alleged child sex abuse who submitted their testimony through a government website has crashed due to what’s been described as a technical blunder that erased everything.

The paper said that, following a change in the web address of the Independent Inquiry Into Child Sex Abuse (IICSA), admissions submitted via an online form between September 14 and October 2 were “instantly and permanently deleted” before ever reaching staff.

The IICSA, a panel in charge of investigating claims of pedophile rings that were operated in Westminster during the 1980s, issued an apology for “any inconvenience or distress” caused by the erasure, reassuring all who had relayed their experiences that the information they provided was not at any risk of disclosure.

The Telegraph further reported:

“Those whose submissions have been lost have been asked to resend their information. The inquiry into historic sex abuse was set up last July but has suffered a number of delays after two previous chairwomen resigned.

It is now being led by New Zealand judge Lowell Goddard.”

Hacked? Purposedly?
