In yet another disgusting hit piece targeting critics of Jade Helm 2015, the Washington Post has published an article that claims fears over the massive urban military training exercise are based on President Obama’s race.

The article, published on July 4th, reads like a military press release while strongly implying that those worried about Jade Helm being a possible martial law takeover are simply racist hicks.

Written by Kevin Sullavan, the piece focuses on Bastrop, Texas where citizens have expressed their worry over Jade Helm to the point that a member of US Special Forces was invited to “answer” questions about the massive exercise.

After quoting county Chairman Albert Ellison saying that its not nuts and wackos who are worried about Jade Helm, Sullavan then goes on to imply (and have those he interviewed directly say) that most of the fears are actually full of racist undertones.

Here in the soft, green farmlands east of Austin, some say the answer is simple: “The truth is, this stems a fair amount from the fact that we have a black president,” said Terry Orr, who was Bastrop’s mayor from 2008 to 2014.

Orr said he strongly disagrees with those views, and he supports Jade Helm. But he said a significant number of people in town distrust Obama because they think he is primarily concerned with the welfare of blacks and “illegal aliens.”
