Judge Andrew Napolitano, in a new editorial, presents his conclusion that Hillary Clinton, as US Secretary of State, violated United States law by providing weapons to terrorists and then denying it to Congress. Napolitano’s conclusion is based in part on a review of State Department and congressional emails and an interview with arms dealer Marc Turi.
Napolitano concludes:
What I saw has persuaded me beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty that Clinton provided material assistance to terrorists and lied to Congress in a venue where the law required her to be truthful.
In his editorial, Napolitano, a Ron Paul Institute Advisory Board member, tells the backstory of the apparent legal violations. Napolitano describes how the State Department and Treasury Department approved Turi selling arms to the Qatar government that were then “sold, bartered or given to rebel groups in Libya and Syria.”
The US government thus worked around the prohibition of selling weapons to groups on the US terror list by having weapons transferred to Qatar, which Napolitano describes as “so entwined with the U.S. government that it almost always will do what American government officials ask of it,” and then directing Qatar to make the secondary transfers.
This was done, Napolitano says, to help overthrow the governments of Libya and Syria.
