Exclusive: Joseph Farah asks, ‘Are Americans as dumb as Washington is incompetent?’

Do those who trust in government for security, safety, health care, income, food, water and other necessities of life ever learn?

Apparently not.

This week the Supreme Court gave its second blessing to a plan that nationalizes health-care decisions. What was once a personal and private matter between you and your doctor is now a matter between you and the federal government.

What’s astonishing about that ruling is that it came just three weeks after the federal government confessed to being hacked by a foreign government that compromised the identity of every single current employee and past employee – some 32 million Social Security numbers, information on every intelligence agent and data on every member of the U.S. armed forces.

What we have learned since is even worse.

The Office of Personnel Management, and other federal agencies, never had a clue about standard cyber-security procedures and best practices – the kind routinely employed by tech companies like Twitter, Amazon and WND. For instance, government employees were permitted to use passwords like “password.” Can you believe that?

What did the hackers get? The files include, but are not limited to, SF-86 forms, which contain the detailed financial, medical and personal histories of anyone who applied for a federal clearance.
