The US Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that United States will modify its security measures ahead of July 4 celebrations amid the recent terrorist attacks that took place in Kuwait, France and Tunisia.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The United States will modify its security measures ahead of July 4 celebrations amid the recent terrorist attacks that took place in Kuwait, France and Tunisia on Friday leaving over 60 dead, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement following the attacks.

“With the upcoming July 4th holiday, here in the United States the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI continue to communicate with state and local law enforcement about what we know and see,” the DHS statement read. “We are encouraging all law enforcement to be vigilant and prepared. We will also adjust security measures, seen and unseen, as necessary to protect the American people.”
