GEOLOGY – Seismic tension continues to mount in the volatile Pacific Ring of Fire, with a cluster of earthquakes now being reported in Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, as well as New Zealand. People in high-risk seismic regions should remain alert for the possible occurrence of moderate to large earthquake events. –TEP
