“The Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the release of 2015 Notices of Funding Opportunity for nine DHS preparedness grant programs totaling more than $1.6 billion. The grant programs provide funding to state, local, tribal and territorial governments, as well as transportation authorities, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector, to improve the nation’s readiness in preventing, protecting against, responding to, recovering from and mitigating terrorist attacks, major disasters and other emergencies. The grants reflect the Department’s focus on implementation of an all-of-nation, whole-community approach to the building, sustainment, and delivery of those core capabilities essential to achieving a secure and resilient nation.”

Under the guise of terrorism DHS has created a national “all-of-nation, whole-community approach” to surveillance.

Police and DHS work hand in hand to spy on our every movement.

DHS claims they don’t have access to law enforcement license plate readers. Which is B.S.

In a privacy impact assessment DHS says it is not seeking to build a national database or contribute data to an existing system. That’s because it’s already in place!

Commercial license-plate tracking systems already are used by the FBI and the DEA, as well as numerous local and state law enforcement agencies. I almost forgot, Immigration & Customs also has a license plate database. Would anyone like to take a guess who runs those departments? If you guessed DHS you win a gold star!
