College Professor: Repeal the “Stupid Second Amendment”
Professors, Common Core claim Bill of Rights “outdated”

A college professor is calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment, which underscores how many academics – and Common Core – consider the Bill of Rights “obsolete.”
Tom H. Hastings, a “Conflict Resolution” lecturer at Portland State University, recently claimed “it’s long past time to repeal the stupid Second Amendment” in an op/ed in the Wisconsin Gazette.
“Repeal the stupid Second Amendment,” he wrote. “Surround it, grab it, bring it in the back room, pull down the shades, and end it.”
“OK, petition for it, get it on the ballot, and get it done by enough of the U.S. populace, by enough people in enough states, to get it consigned to the dustbin of history.”
His statements reflect the emerging attitude among academics to disregard the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, an attitude which is turning college classes into mere extensions of Common Core.
It was just last year that a constitutional law professor admitted she teaches her students the Constitution and Bill of Rights are “obsolete.”
