A gunman killed one person and injured several others when he opened fire at his high school near Seattle before turning the gun on himself, according to police.
The shooter was a student and is reportedly dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Family members have confirmed to news outlets and on social media that the shooter was freshman Jaylen Fryberg.
Police responded to calls of shots fired at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington at about 10:45 a.m Pacific time. Two students, including the shooter, have died, police said during a press conference.
