Protesters outside Madrid’s Carlos lll Hospital where a nurse is being cared for after contracting Ebola have called for the resignation of Spain’s health minister.

They are angry that their colleagues who have been treating two Ebola cases brought to Spain from Africa have not been properly trained to deal with the virus.

“I am protesting because this government is completely incompetent, it takes decisions without consulting its citizens or experts. They decided to bring home two missionaries who were practically dying, poor things, according to what our colleagues have told us, with the risk that this has meant bringing a disease like Ebola to Spain and Europe. It has no cure and we are not prepared for it,” complained Maria Agudo who is a nurse.
