Texas lawmakers prepare for worst case scenario amid Ebola case

AUSTIN — An emergency hearing at the Texas State Capitol by the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services regarding the Ebola virus had a clear focus: To find out what we know about Ebola, what we don’t know, what our weaknesses as a state are and what Texas could do better collectively to keep the virus at bay.

State lawmakers on the Health and Human Services Committee asked a team of doctors, scientists and other experts a myriad of questions trying to get a handle on what improvements if any should be made and where.
