The quote above slamming the American Media was written nearly 20 years ago by a top Washington DC reporter. Eventually he wrote an entertaining yet maddening book called The Secret Life of Bill Clinton . The heroes of the non-fiction book are little guys, like you and I. Sadly, you’ve never heard about most of them, but they opposed powerful, connected sociopaths and their violent henchmen. These are the kind of people novelist John Grisham and John le Carre usually feature in their colorful thrillers.
The Secret Life of Bill Clinton covered the massive lies, deception, fraud, cruelty and outright felonies of the Clinton administration. The media pundits, editors, reviewers and columnists, what we call the Mainstream Media (MSM), mostly turned a scathing eye on the book and its revelations, then and now.
Today, one would add “deception, deceit, treason, and accomplices-to-a-crime” to the description of the American Media. Truly, the mainstream media is the enemy of any peaceful and liberty-loving person anywhere.
From Bernays to Bernanke, America has been on a pretty good, almost euphoric, 100-year high. But all good things have to die. And bad things too. “We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of,” Said Edward Bernays in 1929. Even more true today. The handful of media companies that control the flow of disinformation and infotainment in America controls and implants the desired message. Putin Bad? Old Glory Good? No problem spinning the desired emotions and agit-prop to people.
