Fears are growing the deadly Ebola virus could have spread beyond the epidemic in West Africa, after alerts in the UK and Hong Kong.

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond warned the outbreak presents a “threat” to the UK, and will chair an emergency meeting of the government’s Cobra committee today.
American doctor Kent Brantly says he is “terrified” after catching the disease while treating patients in Liberia.
The Hong Kong woman thought to have contracted Ebola has tested negative for the disease.
The outbreak in Africa is the worst on record and has killed almost 700 people in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The Ebola virus is among the most lethal diseases known to man.
