No Cease-Fire As Israel Warns Of Bigger Operation

Hamas reportedly rejected an Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire with Israel after Israel’s security cabinet accepted the proposal, saying that they were not consulted.
“Who negotiates a ceasefire with only 1 of the parties?” A Hamas official told Buzzfeed.
The Israeli military says at least 24 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip since the expected start of the cease-fire. There has been at least one Israeli airstrike since the failed cease-fire went into effect.
A week of conflict between Hamas militants firing rockets from the Gaza Strip and Israeli jets conducting airstrikes has killed 185 Palestinians and exposed millions of Israelis to indiscriminate rocket fire.
