Denton Woman In Coma Dies From H1N1…(Tex.)

DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) – A Denton woman that was in a medically induced coma for over a month, diagnosed with H1N1, died Friday night.

Toya Norman, a 46-year-old mother of two, was being cared for at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Her sister, Shay Johnson, told CBS 11 News this morning of the death. Norman had a secondary infection of pneumonia.

The family received a call last night that Norman was failing, and were told it was a very aggressive case of H1N1.

Norman had been lying in bed specially designated for patients with H1N1 in the medical center’s ICU.
