The Midwest will be hit with wind chills around -10F
Arctic blast continues south on Tuesday pummeling the Southeast, Northeast and New England
In the West and especially California, record droughts continue as high temperatures were expected with no rainy relief

A snowstorm is spreading across the country this morning bringing with it a polar plunge in temperatures.
Some 2,000 flights were cancelled on Monday in advance of Tuesday’s winter storm Janus that is forecast to bury the Northeast in up to 12 inches.

The brunt of the storm is expected to slam the Washington, D.C. – Philadelphia – New York corridor with heavy snow and brutally cold temperatures.

Snow is expected to begin falling in most areas between 10am and noon, bringing up to a foot of snow to the East Coast.
