According to political analyst Webster Tarpley in this first video below, any US attack on Syria will be a suicide mission due to the backing that Syria now has from China, Russia and Iran. Russia has consistently warned that any attack upon Syria will not go unanswered and now we learn that Russian Prime Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned the United States of ‘extremely dangerous consequences’ should Barack Obama lose his mind and attack the sovereign nation of Syria as shared in the 2nd video below.
A political analyst has warned against a potential military intervention by the United States in Syria, saying Washington’s “adventurism” in the violence-hit country will be “suicidal,” Press TV reports.
In a Saturday interview with Press TV, Webster Griffin Tarpley said the realities on the ground in the Middle East today are different from 2003, when US-led forces invaded Iraq under the pretext of wiping out the stocks of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
“The difference now is that with the presence of Russia on the side of Syria … and the presence of Iran [and] other new powers, [and] a changed military landscape, the constant adventurism that was criminal in 2003 turns to a suicidal adventurism,” said Tarpley.
