Via RedState and Dana Loesch: – Missouri Governor Jay Nixon repeatedly denied knowing anything about Missouri illegally sharing its citizens private CCW information with the federal government, even after his own head of Missouri Highway Patrol contradicted him in a public hearing.

In a developing story we’ve have now learned that Missouri Governor Jay Nixon not only knew about the violation of Missouri law, but he was also thanked in a letter by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Beginning at 14:13, Governor Nixon addresses reports the Department of Revenue is scanning and retaining copies of personal information provided by driver’s license and concealed carry permit applicants. He says that information is not being stored in a database, and says the Department and the State are not violating state law by enforcing the federal Real I.D. Act.
