A LESSON FROM HISTORY
In 1938 Adolf Hitler introduced the German Weapons Act. This restricted ownership of firearms to “persons whose trustworthiness is not in question and who can show a need for a (gun) permit.” The law included several provisions to sweeten the legislation, but the crucial addition (essential for one particular part the Nazi agenda) was:

Jews were expressly forbidden from owning firearms and ammunition. | More

How different European history—indeed world history—would have been if Hitler’s gun bill hadn’t passed. His infamous ‘Final solution’ might have faltered, or even failed altogether, if the Jewish community had been armed. There would be no modern State of Israel, no Palestinian genocide.
