7 billion, heading towards 9 billion with antibiotics becoming useless, natural resource depletion, leading to more expensive energy/food/transport/unemployment. Climate change.All of our needs are the same. Love, sustenance, shelter, the freedom to be ourselves and pursue our talents, and the ability to make up our own minds. That is all we need. And every person deserves it. Not just if they are American or some other first world citizen. This repugnant system we live under can never sustain all of us. Thus it must go extinct, just like all of the species our rabid greed has rendered extinct. To create a stable sustainable civilization, we need a population where most of us understand science, history, and how to reason rationally. The balance isn’t right, and so we survive in part by luck.
