Many lined up for hours to get a great deal on Black Friday. As predicted TV’s were hot ticket items and in Colorado, so were guns.
he Colorado Bureau of Investigation reported it was on track to perform 4,000 background checks Friday on people purchasing firearms.
That’s about 1,000 more than a single-day record set by in 2011.
“This is holiday season, fire arms are a popular gift,” said Paul Paradis, Owner of Paradise Guns.
Paradis estimates his sales are up 20 percent from last year at this time.
“The longest wait we had today was three hours for a background check, normally, they take about half an hour to an hour that depends on the number of gun shows in the state,” he said.
