Though this video of Ron Paul’s argument for secession originally came out in 2009, in light of today’s events including citizens from 15 states bringing forth this issue, I thought it was a good time to revisit it.
Would the US federal government allow states to secede from the union? If enough citizens of a state agree to secede, would the federal government really have any choice in the matter? If citizens of the state of Texas or Louisiana or any other state currently considering this option agree to secede from the union, what do you think the US federal government will do to stop them? Will they use drones to stifle them or is this where the Department of Homeland Security’s massive hollow point bullet purchase comes in?
