Totalitarian systems use the process of escalation in order to subdue non-compliant persons, as, unfortunately, this Canadian couple quickly discovered. The brainless thugs placed in positions of petty authority bully their way towards a particular response; full submission, or anger, which can then be used as an excuse to generate physical confrontation and imprisonment. The bottom line is that the officers involved in this event on the American border CREATED the conflict out of thin air. Later, obviously, such men try to justify their actions by claiming it was all for “the good of the state”. This is a lie. They do it because they enjoy asserting the power they have been given by the state, and become incredulous when anyone questions the legitimacy of that power. The establishment’s goal, through their brownshirt brigades, is to condition the public to conform without thought at all times regardless of the lack of logic inherent in the situation, as well as to send a clear message: you are a second or third-class citizen whose personal rights are not important or respected – the government does not serve you, you serve the government…
