Former Senator Chris Dodd and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America has claimed that yesterday’s massive online protest against the SOPA internet censorship bill was nothing more than a gimmick.
Dodd, who himself had a long history of corruption during his time in the Senate, apparently believes that the collective voice of millions of Americans who spoke out against SOPA in yesterdays massive online protest means absolutely nothing.

Calling the protests a “gimmick” and an “abuse of power,” former Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut, now the CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, said in a statement,
“It’s a dangerous and troubling development when the platforms that serve as gateways to information intentionally skew the facts to incite their users in order to further their corporate interests,” and called for its supporters to, “stop the hyperbole and PR stunts and engage in meaningful efforts to combat piracy.”
Combat online piracy? Chris Dodd and his Hollywood masters are attempting to stifle free speech in America and he expects the American people to believe, despite overwhelming evidence, that SOPA is about combating piracy?
